Bernard is resting (with the help of a sedative) but is in pain after surgery to remove the skin cancer from his belly. Our strategy now that the first round of tumors have been remove (another surgery is scheduled in 8 weeks) is to boost his immune system and starve the tumors through the right nutrition program. His medical bills, grocery bill and meds are very expensive. Please help us give Bernard the care he deserves. For 7 years he stood by the side of a homeless man, providing comfort and friendship as they lived life together on the streets. Now its Bernard’s turn to get the comfort and care he gave for so many years. If you can make a donation to our medical fund it would be greatly appreciated.
Bernard is home with his foster family. The vet is optimistic about the outcome after the second surgery is done. The doctor said Bernard had too many tumors to remove in one day, and some were very deep to the point of where he had to go into the abdomen to remove them. However, he doesn’t feel the cancer has spread into Bernard’s lymph nodes, and x-rays taken a few weeks ago showed his lungs to be clear of cancer too. So there is hope as long as we continue aggressive treatment. Poor guy is very uncomfortable and has a few drains in his abdomen to keep any fluid build up from occurring.
You can donate to his care by clicking this link. A big THANK YOU and much appreciation to anyone who does: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=65BAUBV2HDT3U
