In our family volunteering starts early! Here is Skylar (my oldest daughter) hanging out with Bernard in front of Wal-mart drumming of business for the Shadow’s Fund bake sale. Her sister was back at the treat tables make sure everyone knew what baked goodies were available and how much they cost. I mean really, who could resist two young girls that are so excited to be raising money for rescue dogs? It’s true that teaching kindness and caring should start early! As they grow older they’ll always value the lives of animals, because it’s what our family has taught them is important.
