Mowgli and Bailey are brother and sister. Their mom is a brindle Pittie and the dad is unknown. They are 10 months old and the last two out of the litter needing a home. They are tall and lean with a gentle demeanor. Great with other dogs. If interested email SHADOW’S FUND at info@shadowsfund.org

These 16 week old pups were found near their mom’s body. She had been hit by a car in a rural area outside of Victorville. Locals reported that the pups sat by her body for days. Cars passed and did nothing. Now these lost pups are shelter bound. They lost their mother. Please don’t let them lose their life in the shelter. To inquire about them email oakhillsrealtor@yahoo.com

Bernard is resting (with the help of a sedative) but is in pain after surgery to remove the skin cancer from his belly. Our strategy now that the first round of tumors have been remove (another surgery is scheduled in 8 weeks) is to boost his immune system and starve the tumors through the right nutrition program. His medical bills, grocery bill and meds are very expensive. Please help us give Bernard the care he deserves. For 7 years he stood by the side of a homeless man, providing comfort and friendship as they lived life together on the streets. Now its Bernard’s turn to get the comfort and care he gave for so many years. If you can make a donation to our medical fund it would be greatly appreciated.
Bernard is home with his foster family. The vet is optimistic about the outcome after the second surgery is done. The doctor said Bernard had too many tumors to remove in one day, and some were very deep to the point of where he had to go into the abdomen to remove them. However, he doesn’t feel the cancer has spread into Bernard’s lymph nodes, and x-rays taken a few weeks ago showed his lungs to be clear of cancer too. So there is hope as long as we continue aggressive treatment. Poor guy is very uncomfortable and has a few drains in his abdomen to keep any fluid build up from occurring.
You can donate to his care by clicking this link. A big THANK YOU and much appreciation to anyone who does: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=65BAUBV2HDT3U

Meet LUCY! Lucy is a 2 year old Black Mouth Cur / Lab mix. She has an incredible temperament, is great with other dogs and has earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate from the AKC. She would be a wonderful addition to any family and especially a family that enjoys the outdoors. She loves new adventures but is equally happy being a couch potato next to her favorite person. We can’t say enough about her. Lucy is just an all around great dog.
Lucy would not do well in home with cats or small animals.
For more information please contact Shadow’s Fund at: info@shadowsfund.org .
Meet SKYE! Skye is a 80lb. Pit/Great Dane mix, who is 1 1/2 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. How he hasn’t been adopted already, we have no idea!
Skye went through a 2nd Chance prison program where he was teamed up with prisoners and they trained him. While very puppy’ish still, he listens very well. He’d do well in just about every situation he could possibly be put in. He loves kids, other dogs, and even gets along with cats.
Skye lives at the Shadow’s Fund sanctuary, Sheltering Oaks in California. For info on Skye contact: info@shadowsfund.org

Friends, 7 yr old Major had his 2nd surgery yesterday to repairs his very damaged ears. Very soon this grey bearded cone head is going to need a loving foster (or forever) home to recover in. Who would like to see this smile everyday? Located in California. Email us at info@shadowsfund.org.
You can expect NOT to see Bernard at any adoption or fundraising events for the next several weeks. This week he is starting medications to help build up his immune system, and on Sept. 13th he is having surgery to have all the visible tumors removed from his belly. So keep our big guy in your thoughts and prayers, as he rests up and heals over the next 6 - 8 weeks.

Friends - Shadow’s Fund needs your help. Our medical fund took a serious blow these last several weeks. It seems that every dog we rescued needed major medical attention. Beginning with Fiona ( the little female pit found hanging from her paw by a fence), to Teddy (our big sweet guy who was shot and had a shattered hip) and Bernard (the sweet senior pit that lived most of his life on the streets with a homeless man and incurred skin cancer on his belly) … Earlier this year we had Rosie (the pup with the broken elbow) Coda (a stray found hit by a car that needed medical attention to save his life) and Ellie (the saggy baggy girl who had such a severe skin infection that she had lost all of her hair). In addition to those, there is Journey, Chula and Louie - dogs that needed some extra socialization help from professional trainers and sweet Skylar who’s owner passed away and left her alone in the world. Without space here or a home, we’ve been paying to board her. These last weeks have brought over $15,000 in medical bills alone. We need to raise at least $6000 to cover just our current medical costs and there are still surgeries and physical therapy appointments to come. We know everyone is strapped but this is a big community. If everyone on this page made a small contribution and shared it with friends we could hit that goal in no time. Please help. We won’t turn our back on a dog just because saving their life is going to cost money and take a little effort. Our unspoken promise to them is to give them their best chance for a happy life. Please help us keep that promise by making a donation and sharing with friends. Thank you. This is a photo of Teddy. Teddy was shot, suffered a shattered hip, was abandoned and almost killed in a shelter. He is now recovering from surgery and taking naps on a cozy couch with his foster mom because people like you care.

Meet MOGLY (formerly known as Andy): Mogly is the last of Olive’s puppies that is looking for a home. He had one, and they gave him up after keeping him for 5 months. Mogly has made it very clear that he was not treated very kind by the people we intrusted him to. However, his attitude is already improving by leaps and bounds since entering his new foster home. He will need a family that is patient and willing to offering a balanced environment for him to continue to grow.

This is what Bernard is doing right this moment.. sleeping with my little girl, not even knowing that he’s sick. We got back Bernard’s biopsy results today, and it isn’t good. We are dealing with a “invasive and destructive” skin cancer, and so the fight to battle it is going to be a big one.
